I have had many lives, many paths, crossed multiple frontiers -professional and personal-, learned languages of domains and cultures that I sometimes understood, sometimes not. Along the way, I made mistakes, stretched myself, learned lessons, met kindness, faced my fears and vulnerability in the eyes, held the hands of those in pain and dying, wiped tears of people whose names have faded but have remained within myself. 
Being a nurse is what I was born to be.
